Job summary

The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a General Operative for our well established client based in Chiddingfold.

Due to location you MUST drive to get to site. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with pay at £13.00 per hour rising to £13.79 per hour after 12 weeks. You will operate a De Can cutting machine to open catalytic converters and recover precious metals, plus assist in packing car parts in the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable with wearing safety gear (gloves, eye protection, mask).
• Happy with getting your hands dirty due to dust, grime, grease.
• Comfortable being in an industrial or workshop environment.
• No experience needed; all training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Using the De Can cutting machine to open catalytic converters for processing.
• Removing or recovering precious metals (platinum, palladium, rhodium) from inside catalytic converters.
• Helping in the warehouse by packing car parts for deliveries.

• You will be using the De Can cutting machine to open catalytic converters so they can be processed.
• Your task will be to remove or recover the valuable metals (like platinum, palladium, and rhodium) that are found inside catalytic converters.
• You will help out in the warehouse packing car parts for deliveries.

Requirements for the General Operative:

• This is a metal-cutting operation, so it involves safety risks like sharp edges, metal dust, and heavy machinery therefore must be comfortable with wearing safety gear (gloves, eye protection, mask) is a must.
• Must be happy with getting your hands dirty as you will be dealing with dust, grime, grease.
• Comfortable being in an industrial or workshop environment.
• No experience needed all training will be provided.
