Job summary

The Mill in Cambridge, part of Young's, is looking for a passionate General Manager to own day-to-day operations and lead from the front in a busy, historic pub by the River Cam. You’ll energize the team, drive seasonal sales, and shape memorable guest experiences while preserving the pub’s character.

As GM, you’ll recruit and develop staff, manage events and promotions, and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps locals returning and visitors returning to Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a pub/hospitality team at GM level or higher.
• Strong track record in people management and staff development.
• Proven ability to drive sales, guest satisfaction and events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of The Mill in Cambridge.
• Lead front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver consistent guest experiences.
• Drive sales, marketing initiatives and seasonal promotions across the business.
• Recruit, develop and retain high-performing staff and manage budgets.
