General Manager, Haematology – Cancer Division, UCLH

We are recruiting a full‑time General Manager in Haematology within the Cancer Division at UCLH. The successful candidate will bring strong operational management experience and will lead operational and service improvement for their department.

Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day running of the haematology service, ensuring effective management of budgets, workforce, performance and delivery of cancer performance targets.
  • Lead service improvement and transformation initiatives across a broad haematology spectrum including haematopoietic stem cell transplant, haematological oncology (lymphoma, myeloma, leukaemias, myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative disorders), haemoglobinopathies, coagulation and thrombosis, and general haematology.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, laboratory haematology services, and specialist diagnostic services to provide integrated care.
  • Act as medical cover for the Specialist Integrated Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (SIHMDS) and support the cellular therapy unit, gene therapy, immunotherapy and apheresis programmes.
  • Represent the department on national centres, including the Red Cell Network and a nationally commissioned specialist TTP centre.
