Job Type: Full Time (5 out of 7 shifts)

Location: On-site – Lichfield

Salary: Up to £50,000

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate General Manager to join our team in a dual role, overseeing both The George Hotel and The Cathedral Hotel, Lichfield.

Both hotels are part of Webb Hotel Group, a family-owned collection of properties in the West Midlands, Staffordshire, and Gloucestershire.

  • The George Hotel combines traditional character with modern amenities and is a popular choice for business and leisure guests. Located just a short stroll from Lichfield’s historic Cathedral, Beacon Park, and city centre attractions, it’s a true home from home.
  • The Cathedral Hotel is a charming, comfortable property known for warm hospitality and excellent service, providing a relaxed base for visitors exploring the city.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable multi-site management experience, leading two well-regarded hotels in the heart of Lichfield, ensuring both properties continue to thrive.

About The Role

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and performance of both The George Hotel and The Cathedral Hotel. You will inspire and develop teams across both sites, drive operational excellence, and ensure the delivery of outstanding guest experiences.

You will also play a key role in shaping the future success of the hotels, working closely with Group Management and Directors to set long-term strategies for growth and development.

  • Monitor and drive financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across both properties
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor team members at both sites, setting clear departmental and strategic goals
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction at all times
  • Maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
