Job summary

Greene King is seeking a General Manager for one of its Hungry Horse pubs. You will lead by example, develop teams, and create a warm welcome for customers while driving sales and ensuring excellent service.

You’ll inspire your team, uphold brand standards, and manage operations to deliver memorable experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Very high standards and attention to detail in day-to-day pub operations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
• Business savvy with a keen eye for P&L control.
• Willingness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely.

Responsibilities

• Grow pub sales with the business development manager and management team.
• Lead by example and bring our brand to life through your team to deliver amazing customer experiences.
• Recruit and develop your team to ensure they have the knowledge to delight customers.
• Champion brand standards and ensure customer and team safety at all times.

Qualifications

What you'll do as a General Manager...

• Work with your business development manager and management team to grow pub sales.
• Lead by example in everything you do and bring our brand to life through your team in delivering amazing experiences for our customers.
• You will recruit & develop your team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to delight our customers.
• Be a champion of brand standards & ensure customer & team safety at all times.
• Please be aware that if you are successful in this role you will need to either already have, or be able to acquire a personal license.

What you'll bring...

• Very high standards and attention to detail in all aspects of the day-to-day running of a successful pub.
• You're great with people, and as a result, have great communication and leadership skills.
• You’ll be business savvy, with a keen eye for P&L control.

• Previous success at General Manager level is desirable; from a hospitality, retail or other fast paced background, and the right attitude and outlook is essential!
