Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a General Manager for Chertsey Parklands Care Home in Chertsey. You will lead a team to deliver exceptional person-centred care in a safe, caring and stimulating environment while meeting regulatory and business targets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years' experience in a similar care environment.
  • Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, IT competence.
  • Adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality, person-centred care and residents receive care based on best practice.
  • Recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home.
  • Act as a focal point for residents, relatives, and health/social care professionals.
  • Ensure safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained per occupancy and dependency.
  • Provide inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Manage costs within budget by reviewing stock and controls.

Job description

Your focus as General Manager will be to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person-centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, whilst meeting regulatory requirement, professional and statutory standards, and business performance targets. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care, person centred care and ensuring residents receive care based on best practice.
  • Being responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home.
  • Acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in resident's wellbeing.
  • Ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with both occupancy and dependency.
  • Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensuring costs are well managed and maintained within budgetary controls, by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock. To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do.
Our ideal candidate must:
  • Have a minimum of four years of experience in a similar care environment.
  • Have Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Possess excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and be competent in IT.
