We are looking for a creative & entrepreneurial General Manager to join and lead our team at The Talbot Ledbury, an iconic market town pub with rooms. As General Manager you will have a genuine passion for exceptional customer service and a pro‑active approach to team management. You will recruit & develop your team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to delight our customers.

The Talbot, with its striking Tudor façade, has stories to tell from as far back as 1596. It is situated in the historic market town of Ledbury in Herefordshire and benefits from 12 letting rooms, an enchanting dining room and a courtyard garden.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented General Manager who is able to balance a thriving wet trade, a busy accommodation business with an expanding fresh food offer.

The key attributes we are looking for in the successful candidate are:
  • Be an inspiring leader – who leads by example and can engage, excite and communicate clearly with your team.
  • Be organised – with the ability to organise your own time to manage the priorities in your pub.
  • Be commercially driven – the ability to build a business plan that grows the sales and profit of your pub with your Ops Manager and our support team.
  • The ability to build a great team – recruit, train, develop and retain.
  • Have a passion for what you do – determined and tenacious and in doing so, show the passion and drive to keep growing the sales and profit of your pub whilst executing your plans.
