Salary: £90,000£100,000 base + 3040% bonus + Car Allowance + Share Options

Our client is a rapidly expanding innovator in low-carbon and smart energy technologies, delivering advanced sustainable solutions to major organisations across the food, pharmaceutical, energy, and manufacturing sectors.

They are seeking an experienced General Manager to take full responsibility for the commercial performance, operational delivery, and strategic development of the business. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring a balance of technical understanding, commercial knowledge, and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the organisations commercial and operational strategy, ensuring alignment with growth and profitability objectives.
  • Hold full P&L responsibility for UK operations, with accountability for financial performance and business sustainability.
  • Oversee and develop sales, operations, and engineering teams to deliver projects efficiently and profitably.
  • Manage key customer relationships, high-value contracts, and long‑term commercial partnerships.
  • Drive business development across target sectors including food, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and energy.
  • Represent the company at senior client meetings, trade events, and industry forums.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a General Manager, Commercial Director, or senior P&L leadership role within industrial engineering, or energy systems.
  • Strong engineering or technical background, with the ability to engage credibly on technical and operational matters.
  • Demonstrated success in commercial management, strategic planning, and organisational leadership.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving business performance across technical and commercial functions.
  • Exposure to international markets and distributor or partner management.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for international business requirements.
