Overview

Avery Healthcare is one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, with a vision of ‘creating meaningful lives together’. They are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join their award‑winning team as General Manager at Carrstone House Care Home in Downham Market, Norfolk.

Main duties of the job

As a General Manager, you will lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person‑centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. You will be responsible for recruitment, retention and development of staff, managing costs and budgets, and ensuring regulatory and statutory standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care and best‑practice standards.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop staff.
  • Act as focal point for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals.
  • Maintain safe staffing levels in accordance with occupancy and dependency.
  • Provide inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Manage costs and maintain budgetary controls, including stock monitoring.
