Overview
Reynolds Pro Management is seeking a team-oriented Property Maintenance Technician to support both our vacation rental homes and long-term rental properties in Southern Vermont. You’ll be our go-to problem solver for repairs, preventive maintenance, and tenant support—helping us deliver top-notch experiences for guests and alike.
Your Role
- Perform general maintenance and repairs across our portfolio of long-term and short-term rental properties, ensuring homes are safe, comfortable, and welcoming for tenants and guests.
- Complete maintenance and repair work orders promptly and professionally.
- Diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and implement effective solutions to keep all properties in top condition.
- Accurately estimate time, materials, and costs for repairs; communicate updates and needs to the team.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on all properties.
- Safely operate and maintain power tools and other equipment.
- Maintain and organize inventory of materials and supplies.
- Oversee and coordinate work by outside contractors as needed.
- Collaborate closely with housekeeping, operations, and property management teams for smooth turnovers and ongoing care.
- Interact professionally and courteously with both guests and long-term tenants—responding to maintenance requests, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Keep detailed records in line with company policies—logging completed tasks and preparing reports as requested.
- Be available for occasional after-hours or weekend calls, especially during peak seasons or in case of emergencies.
- Support both routine and emergency maintenance needs for our diverse property portfolio.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or related fields—experience with both vacation rentals and long-term rentals is a plus.
- Experience in a maintenance role for residential property management company.
- Strong hands-on skills with power tools and general maintenance equipment.
- Working knowledge of general household repairs: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and general mechanics.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Engaging, welcoming personality with a passion for providing an exceptional experience for guests.
- Team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Strong attention to detail, able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting, and work under pressure.
- Comfortable working around tenants and guests, with strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physically able to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull, and lift up to 50+ lbs. throughout the shift; able to climb ladders and work outdoors.
- Comfortable driving between properties, including in winter weather and mud season around ski mountains and rural roads.
- Valid driver’s license required; additional certifications are a plus.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, or respond to emergencies as needed.
