About The Role

General Maintenance Person – Tewkesbury Production Site

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Fixed Term 6 Months
Shifts: Sunday – Thursday, 14:00 – 22:00 (flexibility required to cover specific jobs)

We are currently seeking a practical and reliable General Maintenance Person to join our Production Team at the Tewkesbury site.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Maintenance Technician will play a key role in maintaining and improving our production facilities. You will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks including painting and decorating, small repairs, and general upkeep of factory areas to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

This is a hands-on, practical role for a multi-skilled individual who enjoys variety in their day and can adapt to changing priorities in a busy production environment. You’ll work to assigned work orders, liaising closely with Factory and Production Managers to prioritise maintenance activities around production schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out painting and decorating tasks throughout the production and factory areas
  • Undertake minor repairs to walls, floors, doors, and internal structures
  • Assist with basic fabrication repairs within the factory environment
  • Support the Production Team in maintaining the building and production areas to a high standard
  • Perform general handyman duties including basic plumbing, joinery, and fixture maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and carry out first-line repairs on non-technical building issues
  • Work from maintenance work orders and liaise with managers to prioritise urgent jobs
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company standards
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in general maintenance, painting and decorating, or building repair
  • Competent with basic carpentry, plumbing, and handyman tasks
  • Proactive and able to plan and prioritise work effectively
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise across departments
  • Knowledge of safe working practices in an industrial or factory environment
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team
