Job summary

Role: General Labourer

Pay Rate: GBP14.24 : GBP17.00 / hour

Location: Guernsey (Channel Islands) : Travel/Accommodation provided or allowance given

Type: Temporary / Contract (Duration TBC)

Start: End of October

Hours: 40 : 50 hours/week (Potential weekend overtime)

Role Overview

We are looking for reliable Site Labourers for a project in Guernsey. This role is ideal for individuals comfortable working and staying away from home, with travel and accommodation provided or supported via an allowance. You will be responsible for maintaining site safety and cleanliness, unloading deliveries, and assisting sub:contractors and trades on:site.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep the site clean, clear, and safe at all times.
• Moving materials across the site and assisting various sub:contractors/trades.
• Unloading site deliveries, supporting welfare maintenance, and assisting with site setup.
• Assisting with demolition and general site clearance duties.
• Adhering strictly to Guernsey health and safety standards and site induction guidelines.

Requirements

• Valid UK or Irish Passport (essential for Guernsey employment permit eligibility).
• Valid Green CSCS Card.
• Minimum 2 years of on:site general labouring experience.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, steel toe cap boots, hi:vis, gloves, and safety goggles).
• 2 x recent, checkable site references.
• Must be reliable and happy to travel and stay away from home.
• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
