As General Kitchen Assistant for Sodexo at Heart of England School, Gipsy Ln, Balsall Common, Solihull, CV7 7FW, you will be contributing towards the smooth running of a fast‑paced food and beverage operation. You will be responsible for showcasing what the kitchen supplies, presenting it in the most eye‑catching way possible, ensuring we are offering the best service possible. Responsibilities
  • Prepare delicious meals for our school team and pupils.
  • Keep the kitchen and serving areas stocked, clean and hygienic always.
  • Support the loading and unloading of supply and delivery vehicles.
  • Observe food handling and hygiene regulations.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure that all machines and equipment are operated correctly.
  • Always uphold the reputation of the company.
    Have a great sense of teamwork.
  • Show that you can adopt a dedicated and orderly approach.
  • Show that you can prioritise your work, handle pressure, and communicate well at all levels.
  • Show impeccable punctuality and dependability.
  • Experience in a similar environment (helpful but not a deal breaker).

  • Package Description "A role that fits your life - and your family"
  • 12.21 per hour.
  • 20 hours per week.
  • Working pattern: Monday - Friday, 10:45am – 14:45pm.
  • Term Time only (39 week Working Contract paid over 52 weeks).
  • Equated pay (sometimes known as spread‑over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non‑working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.
