Job summary

Powys County Council is seeking a kitchen assistant to help the Cook in Charge with everyday kitchen tasks, including preparation, cooking and serving food and drinks to the standards set by Powys Catering Services.

You will ensure compliance with nutritional standards under the Healthy Schools in Wales scheme and uphold food safety principles. A Food Safety Certificate Level 2 is essential; the council applies a discretionary real living wage supplement for those earning under £13.45 per hour.
