Gap Personnel are currently recruiting for a General Horticulture Worker for our client based in Albrighton, WV7.

Details:

  • Permanent position
  • £24,843 per annum
  • 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm on a Friday.
The Role
  • Planting, weeding, wood cutting and nipping out (part of the role will be field based)
  • Grading plants, potting, picking
  • General husbandry including pruning, watering and monitoring for pests and disease
  • Preparing, packing and despatching
  • General housekeeping of plant beds, production and storage areas.
  • Monitoring equipment and reporting any maintenance needs or repairs
The Person
  • Previous experience within a production environment required
  • Experience in a horticultural role with a real interest in plants is preferred but not essential
  • An excellent eye for detail
  • A willingness to learn new skills and happy to work in all weathers indoors and outdoors
  • The ability to operate nursery equipment, tools and machinery safely where necessary
  • Physical ability to perform hands on plant care tasks, including lifting, bending and prolonged standing.
