Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a general ENT consultant position at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The role includes delivering ENT elective and emergency care with an on-call commitment of 1 in 14, across primary and secondary care settings.

The post holder will participate in teaching and training, clinical governance, and research activities, contributing to the unit's ongoing development and to service improvement in a busy teaching hospital

Qualifications

• Must hold a Medical Degree and be eligible for GMC Specialist Register in ENT.
• Experience at registrar level or higher within the NHS is required.
• Proven ability to make decisions at consultant level and to lead a clinical team in a teaching hospital.
• Training in clinical management is preferred.
• Awareness and adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) in research and experience in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide general ENT elective and emergency care.
• Carry an on-call commitment of 1 in 14.
• Contribute to emergency service cover at consultant level.
• Engage in teaching, training and research activities as part of daily practice.
• Participate in clinical governance activities, audits and quality improvement.
