Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Diagnostic Radiographer for a permanent, full-time position in Southampton. The successful candidate will provide high-quality imaging services, ensuring efficient patient care and communication. Experience in general imaging, especially with paediatrics, is essential. Spire Southampton Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a diagnostic Radiographer who is experienced in general imaging including paediatrics, theatre and portables. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Main duties of the job

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To be part of a team delivering high quality, efficient radiographic service.
  • To provide highly skilled and specialised imaging for patients, to make informed decisions on the diagnostic imaging required and to demonstrate a professional, caring and responsible approach to the duties carried out
  • To be responsible for the standard of own imaging work and that of other supervised radiographers and students: This standard will be that set by Spire.
  • To ensure that an efficient throughput of patient examinations is achieved. This will also involve advice of the booking of appointments and advice on preparation as required.
  • To ensure that patients are cared for in the department especially in their own area of work. To communicate to patients and others any delays likely to affect them, and within the standards set by the HPC to describe examination findings, if appropriate
