Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking a General Counsel for a leading UK charity. The role involves strategic legal leadership at Board and Executive level, guiding governance, risk and regulatory matters, and shaping how the organisation operates.

The successful candidate will lead a senior legal team, translate strategy into practical frameworks, and influence stakeholders to drive meaningful change. Flexible hybrid working with London office attendance required.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with at least 12 PQE.
• Experience leading legal teams and reporting to Board.

An exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest and most recognised charities as General Counsel, leading legal while providing strategic oversight across risk, governance, information governance and regulatory matters.

We’re looking for a commercially minded, pragmatic lawyer who can:

• Operate confidently at Board and Executive level
• Lead and develop a senior legal team
• Navigate complex legal, regulatory and organisational risk
• Turn strategy into simple, practical frameworks
• Influence stakeholders and drive meaningful organisational change

Qualified solicitor, minimum 12 PQE

This person could be anywhere in the UK but they will be expected to come to the London office regularly and travel cannot be expensed
