Job summary

3Recruit LTD is seeking a General Builder to join a nationwide property maintenance partner in Sheffield. You will perform reactive maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment across residential and commercial sites, delivering high standards for occupied properties.

The role requires proven multi-trade skills across carpentry, plumbing, decorating, and related trades, with safety and client communication in every project. Ongoing site-based work offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Multi Trader / General Builder / Property Maintenance Operative
• Competent across several trades (carpentry, plumbing, decorating)
• Experience in residential or commercial maintenance environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Good communication and customer service skills

The Role

We are seeking reliable and skilled General Builders/ Multi Traders who can carry out a wide range of property maintenance and building tasks to a high standard. You will work across a variety of properties completing reactive maintenance, planned repairs, and refurbishment works.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working across multiple trades.

Key Responsibilities

• General property maintenance and building works

• Basic carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating and patch repairs

• Kitchen and bathroom repairs / minor installations

• Flooring repairs and installations

• Internal and external maintenance works

• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

• Maintaining a professional approach when working in occupied properties

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Multi Trader / General Builder / Property Maintenance Operative

• Competent across several trades (carpentry, plumbing, decorating etc.)

• Experience working in residential or commercial maintenance environments

• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently

• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable (Not Essential)

• NVQ qualification in a building trade

• Experience working within care homes, housing, or commercial property maintenance
