Qualifications

• Minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a Building trade.
• Proven experience working in the trade.
• Experience in both occupied and empty premises.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general building repairs and maintenance across homes.
• Perform digging underground drainage and pipework repairs.
• Handle roofing and roof integrity assessments.
• Execute re-pointing, minor rendering, tiling, and cement works.
• Install and repair various types of fencing.
• Repair brickwork and blockwork.

As we expand our trades teams we are currently recruiting for 2 experienced General Builders to join our Property Team in our Isle of Wight locality. As you\u2019ll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you\u2019ll not be out of pocket.

Responsibilities

As a Builder you'll carry out all forms of general building repairs and maintenance across our homes as part of our Responsive Repairs Team.

• Digging underground drainage, repairing collapsed pipework and installing soakaways.
• Roofing and roof repairs, roof problem solving, assessing roof integrity and guttering repairs.
• Re-pointing, minor rendering, tiling and cement works.
• All types of fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panels.
• Laying self-levelling compound, flooring and floor tiles
• Repairing brickwork and blockwork.

Qualifications

Ideally, you'll have a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a Building trade OR have proven experience working in the trade.

You will have experience of working in both occupied and empty premises and be able to demonstrate good customer service skills.

Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.

Enjoy working as part of a team.

• Due to a requirement to travel within this role, candidates must hold a full and current driving license with a minimum of 1 years driving experience
