Employed Fitness Coach and Self-employed Personal Trainer.

Firstly, you will be employed by JD Gyms on a part-time basis (12 hours a week) completing 3 x 4-hour shifts as a Fitness Coach, with a monthly salary.

JD Gyms prides itself on its management career progression programmes, which will help you develop your leadership skills and prepare you for the next steps in your career.

Separately, outside of your employed hours as a Fitness Coach, you will pay rent on a monthly basis, and run your self-employed Personal Training business from the gym in which you are based, giving you access to thousands of leads in the form of current members and new members that join on a daily basis. We also have an internal dedicated PT Business Support team to help you build and grow a successful PT business.

Role overview:

We invest over £1.5m in fitting out our gyms to create top quality, stylish environments for our members. We're looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and wants to play an important role in creating a positive environment for members and colleagues. You'll be able to maintain high standards of cleanliness while providing friendly and professional support to members throughout the club. Responsibilities: Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to. Support and maintain JD Gyms brand standards across all areas of the club. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and safety checks. Report all defects to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use. Ensure the gym facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards in line with company expectations. Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions. Support learning and development initiatives, including training activities designed to promote consistent standards across the business. To undertake any other reasonable duties. Skills and Experience: Strong interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards. Demonstrates a commitment to delivering excellent member service and maintaining high standards. Experience in a customer-facing, cleaning, leisure or similar environment is advantageous. Effective communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with members and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing responsibilities independently.
