Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. invites a General Assistant to join our education catering team in Cambridge. You will help prepare and serve meals for students and staff, ensuring high service standards and safety.

The role is 25 paid hours per week, Monday to Friday 10:30am–4:00pm, at £13.00 per hour, with benefits including holidays, pension, training, and meals while at work. A supportive environment fosters growth within the education catering sector.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of shortages.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

Location: Cambridge Next to North Station

Salary: £13.00 per hour

25 paid hours per week -Monday to Friday 10.30am - 4.00pm 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break
