Job summary

JD Gyms is seeking a General Assistant in Dundee to help maintain high cleanliness standards and support a welcoming environment for members and colleagues. This full-time role focuses on safety, cleanliness, and delivering friendly, professional service across the club.

You will conduct routine cleaning checks, follow Health and Safety policies, uphold brand standards, and participate in learning initiatives to promote consistent service across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Demonstrates a commitment to delivering excellent member service and maintaining high standards.
• Experience in a customer-facing, cleaning, leisure or similar environment is advantageous.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with members and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing responsibilities independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
• Support and maintain JD Gyms brand standards across all areas of the club.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report all defects to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
• Ensure the gym facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards in line with company expectations.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives, including training activities designed to promote consistent standards across the business.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties.
