Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a General Assistant on a casual basis at SRUC Oatridge. You will assist with serving meals, maintain front and back of house cleanliness, and support food safety and service standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and flexibility to cover breakfast through dinner shifts, with occasional weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house, and back of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
