Job summary

Education Authority in Antrim-Ballyclare is seeking a General Assistant 2 to support teachers and pupils in and outside the classroom. The role involves care of pupils, supervision, assistance with meals, and helping with therapy activities as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with toileting, personal hygiene and dressing as required.
• Ensure safe mobility and supervision of pupils within school premises, including playground and outings.
• Accompany staff on outings or therapy sessions (e.g., swimming, hydrotherapy).
• Assist with feeding and meal times for pupils.
• Ensure pupils follow school rules and routines and assist with setting out equipment.
