Job summary

Meadow View in Enniskillen is seeking General Assistants to join the Kitchen and Housekeeping teams, helping with daily domestic, kitchen and laundry duties while delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a warm, home-from-home setting.

You will work under the Housekeeper and Chef, ensuring meals meet dietary needs and the environment stays clean and welcoming for residents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the home meets expected standards throughout the shift.
• Cover domestic, kitchen and laundry duties – training in all 3 areas provided.
• Identify and report faults or issues to maintenance or management.
• Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule.
• Use and store cleaning products in accordance to COSHH regulations.
• Undertake any other duties designated by the Home Manager.

The Role

The General Assistant role at Healthcare Ireland is a blended role, working with the Housekeeping and Kitchen team to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Home.

The General Assistants in our Homes play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, housekeeping and laundry functions, ensuring that residents receive high-quality meals and have a clean environment. The role is essential in the wellbeing of our residents through the provision of high-quality, person-centred surroundings.

Working as part of the Kitchen and Housekeeping team, reporting to the Housekeeper and Chef, the role is about a lot more than preparing and serving meals and cleaning – the General Assistant will support with ensuring the dietary needs of our residents are met in addition to contributing to a clean and tidy environment for our residents.

About The Role

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the expected standards are achieved throughout the home
