Abbeyfield Living Society in Coldharbour, Sherbourne, is seeking a General Assistant - Housekeeping to join our team. You will help keep the home clean, assist with meal preparation, and welcome visitors, supporting residents with care in a friendly environment.

No prior experience is required as training is provided. The role is 6 hours per week, with shifts 10am-1pm on Monday and Thursday, offering a rewarding chance to contribute to residents’ comfort and wellbeing within a supportive

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and tidy home for residents, and assist with meal preparation.
• Welcome visitors and support kitchen staff in preparing meals to a high standard.
• Follow housekeeping schedules and assist with cleaning residents' bedrooms, flats, and communal areas.
• Ensure hygienic practices in all kitchen and store areas to protect residents.

We are now looking for a dedicated General Assistant to join our team at Sherbourne

The Role of General Assistant - Housekeeping / Domestic:

Role: General Assistant - Housekeeper and Domestic
Pay: £12.71 p/h - £12.81 p/h
Location: Coldharbour, Sherbourne, DT9 4HA
Hours: 6 Hours per week
Shift Times: 10-1pm Monday and Thursday

• As one of our valued general assistants, you’re at the front line of care. We’re passionate about creating a lovely environment for our residents to enjoy. So you’ll help us keep our Home clean and tidy for our residents, assist with meal preparation, and welcome our many visitors.
• Every resident should enjoy a tidy and well maintained environment, clean laundry, and carefully support the Kitchen staff inpreparingmeals, presented to the highest standard.
• You may work within the cleaning and housekeeping schedules as set by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.
• This varied role may include cleaning of the residents’ bedrooms, self-contained flats, the communal areas and offices.
• You may also assist in providing healthy and nutritious food for our residents. By keeping all kitchen and store areas clean, and following all hygienic practices you help protect our residents and keep them safe.
