Job summary

A leading service provider in the UK is seeking a General Catering Assistant to prepare and serve nutritious meals at Nuffield Health. You will play a crucial role in supporting patient recovery while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. Job Introduction

As a General Catering Assistant at Sodexo in Nuffield Health, you’ll play an important part in preparing and serving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery and wellbeing. You’ll also help maintain a clean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas. With a cheerful attitude and great customer service, your presence can make a real difference in someone’s day. What you’ll do:
  • Accurately take and record patient and visitor refreshment orders, including allergies and dietary needs.
  • Assemble and deliver meals promptly, ensuring patients are comfortable and assisted as needed.
  • Maintain hygiene by cleaning all crockery, cutlery, trays, and kitchen areas to infection control standards.
  • Manage stock control, storage, rotation, and documentation; report equipment faults and delays.
  • Assist with food preparation, including special diets, and support all catering areas as required.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously, follow all policies, and work safely with minimal waste.
