• Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
• Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months.
• A valid UK driving licence or evidence of proposed alternative.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Mental Health Care for adults with severe mental health problems.
• Support the development of mental health services in collaboration with other consultants.
• Participate in improvement and research activities.

Skills

Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty

Excellent knowledge in specialty

Education

MB BS or equivalent medical qualification

Higher degree in medical education or clinical research
