Elysium Healthcare is seeking a part-time Finance Assistant at Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre in Sawbridgeworth. The role focuses on cash handling, petty cash, patient monies, and purchase-order processing, supporting the finance office with ledger maintenance and policy compliance.

You’ll work 22.5 hours weekly in a healthcare setting, with training opportunities and a pro-rata salary package.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the management of Patient Monies system, including any DWP benefit claims as appropriate.
• Assisting in the management of Petty Cash within the Finance Office and also throughout the hospital
• Assisting in Purchase Order Processing - WAP/Ordering of Goods and Services
• Assisting in maintaining Head Office Purchase Ledger Spreadsheet including dealing with any adhoc queries.
• Ensuring compliance with all Finance Policies & Procedures.
• Liaising with all disciplines and Head Office staff on a regular basis.
• Undertaking any other tasks requested that are commensurate with the post.
• Minute taking during meetings
• Scanning and filing important documents

Are you an articulate and numerate Financial Assistant with experience in dealing with cash and performing reconciliations? Join Jacobs Neurological Centre as the Finance Assistant and utilise yourskill setwithin a healthcare environment to deal with all finance-related admin.

As the Finance Assistant, within a healthcare environment, you will provide administration assistance to ensure a comprehensive and efficient Finance service meet the needs of the unit.

Working 22.5 hours a week you will turn your hand to everything finance admin-related, including assisting with Patient monies, the management of petty cash, assisting in purchase order processing, assisting in maintaining the Head Office purchase ledger spreadsheet and ensuring compliance with all financial polices and procedures.

Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre have a combined total of 132 beds on the same site in Sawbridgeworth (CM21 0HH), which is on the Hertfordshire and Essex border within easy travelling distance of London and Cambridge.

The two Centres deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions, and brain or spinal injuries who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability. Recovery is assisted wherever possible, with emphasis placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.

Each service has communal lounges, dining rooms, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities with over 95% on single occupancy. All rooms are adapted to each resident's requirements according to their assessments and needs.
