Job description

TheHartree Centre Cardiff Hub is based in the sbarc|spark building and supports small and medium-sized enterprises with artificial intelligence (AI) and data science technologies through knowledge transfer and sprint projects, targeting companies in the Cardiff Capital Region and Western Gateway areas who want to better understand how digital innovation can transform productivity, strengthen resilience and enhance growth.

You will work as part of the Hartree Centre Cardiff Hub team which includes five data scientists and three administrative staff, led by three academic directors from the School of Computer Science and Informatics. You will help the team deliver a programme of supporting 54 companies in our local region. Your duties will mainly focus on communicating the impact of our work, helping to organise events, and supporting the day-to-day running of the Hub.

Typical activities:

  • Promoting Hub activities via LinkedIn and annual Impact Report
  • Supporting planning and running of events
  • Arranging meetings with companies
  • Assist in Hub administrative processes
