Fitch Group is seeking a senior ML/AI engineer to join the Emerging Technology COE in London or Manchester. You will lead Gen AI, AI Agents, and ML workflows across the enterprise, shaping governance, and driving innovative data science solutions.

Collaboration with product squads is essential to scale AI across Fitch’s flagship products. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge AI/ML technologies, a strong emphasis on governance, and a culture that values work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as ML/AI engineer
• Strong knowledge of Gen AI and multi-agent systems
• Experience with Gen AI frameworks and fine-tuning LLMs
• Experience building and deploying ML pipelines
• Proficient in Python/Java and ML fundamentals
• Experience with AWS/Azure cloud services
• Containerization experience (Docker/Kubernetes)

Responsibilities

• Build, integrate, and deploy Gen AI, AI Agents and ML workflows
• Design and develop Gen AI platforms and data science solutions
• Define standards for AI engineering tech stack and data models
• Evaluate vendors and onboard suitable AI tools
• Communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Maintain SLAs for production ML applications and improve performance
