Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking a Molecular Biology SME to join a leading AI lab's GenAI team. You will design DNA/RNA constructs and primers, bringing domain expertise to the AI training data.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to identify gaps in molecular reasoning, crafting rigorous, well-documented solutions. A PhD and strong publication record are preferred.

This is a remote‑friendly, W‑2 engagement with placement at a leading AI Lab as part of the extended workforce.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in molecular biology or related field.
• Hands‑on experience designing nucleic acid constructs (primers, plasmids, vectors, gRNA/sgRNA, mRNA, HDR/repair templates).
• Strong peer‑reviewed publication record, first‑author preferred in top venues.

Responsibilities

• Identify where molecular biology reasoning breaks down in model training and help close gaps.
• Design domain‑relevant tasks and write accurate, well‑documented ground truth solutions.
• Review model outputs against expert solutions and provide clear feedback on correctness and biological reasoning.
• Write guidelines and rubrics for sequence design quality, including guide/target selection, homology arms, and codon optimization.
