Job summary

Amazon Science's Alexa International Tech team is seeking an Applied Scientist with a strong deep learning background to advance Generative AI technology, large language models, and multimodal systems for Alexa.

You will design experiments, publish findings, mentor juniors, and collaborate with engineers to deploy scalable research that improves speech generation and multilingual experiences for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in CS/CE/ML or related field
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, HPC
• Experience in building machine learning models for business applications

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments to advance state-of-the-art in multi-modal models with a focus on speech generation
• Publish findings at top-tier conferences and contribute to IP portfolio
• Collaborate with engineering teams to transition research into production systems at scale
