About the Role

As a General Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher and helping to create an engaging, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment. You'll assist with classroom activities, provide small group or one-to-one support, and help pupils develop confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and learning activities.
  • Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce understanding and encourage participation.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assist with preparing learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, transitions, and break times.
  • Provide feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and behaviour.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children (in a school or informal setting).
  • A genuine passion for education and child development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, reliable, and positive attitude.
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. (Not Mandatory)
