Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated Tutor to support KS3/KS4 learners in 1:1 or small-group settings.

You will plan and deliver tailored lessons, helping disengaged and at-risk pupils bridge gaps and raise attainment. QTS or tutoring experience with SEND preferred; right to work in the UK is required.

Role offers flexible hours with a part-time contract and community/home-based visits, supported by a growing national network of Prospero Teaching.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupil's education and boost engagement and attainment levels.
• Deliver tutoring in a one-on-one or small-group setting to support vulnerable learners and improve educational outcomes.
