Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a GCSE Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition to GCSE students who are currently without a school placement in the Tameside area.

This role offers flexible, pupil-centred teaching to close gaps, engage disengaged learners and raise attainment through tailored lesson planning and delivery.

The position is part-time (15 hours per week per student) on a temporary contract with start ASAP and ongoing until reintegration into a new school placement.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• UK classroom teaching experience is required.
• Experience with SEND or disengaged pupils is required.

Prospero Teaching is looking for GCSE Tutors to deliver bespoke tuition packages on a 1:1 basis to GCSE students that are currently without a school placement.

The Opportunity

This GCSE Tutor role is perfect for someone looking to step away from the classroom and make a difference to the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. The successful tutor must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lesson to bridge gaps in pupil's education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 GCSE Tutor must

• Hold the right to work in the UK


• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
