KS3/4 Science Specialist – April 2025 start

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Science teacher for an Ofsted “GOOD” Secondary school in Bury. You will be responsible for teaching to KS4 groups (including Year 11), and General Science to both KS3 and KS4. This timetable would be suitable for an ECT looking for support with their Induction terms, or a more experienced colleague looking for a long term supply booking.

Our school is easily accessible by road (M60, M61, M62, M66), so this position is ideal for colleagues based in Greater Manchester, Lancashire or West Yorkshire. There are strong public transport links too.

Behaviour on the whole is positive and any isolated issues are dealt with by a positive, pro-active “on call” team with a wealth of experience in pastoral matters. We have several long-term colleagues in the school who feel supported and welcomed.

The position is open to NQT’s/ECT’s and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.

Science or similar Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
Previous experience working in a UK school
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
