Job summary

Access Sport in the United Kingdom is seeking a GCSE English Tutor to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons to our young people. You will plan, deliver and assess work, maintaining high expectations and motivating learners to excel while applying effective behaviour management.

You should hold GCSE English at grade 5+ and a degree in a related subject; a teaching qualification is desirable and Access Sport will support you to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Hold GCSE English and English GCSEs at Grade 5 or above; degree in a related subject.
• Up-to-date knowledge of GCSE English curriculum and exam board requirements.
• Teaching qualification desirable; Access Sport will fund to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inclusive GCSE English lessons.
• Mark and assess learner work; set high expectations.
• Review teaching, learning and behaviour management practices.
• Collaborate with central team and fellow tutors.
