Job summary

Hedgehog Lab seeks a Senior Solutions Architect (GCP) to own the data architecture for a high-volume online marketplace and lead a major multi-year transformation. The stack runs on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, DBT, Data Stream) with Looker reporting, and you’ll drive aggressive cost-management and self‑service analytics.

You’ll define direction where none exists, advise on bringing the data team under technical leadership, and coordinate with stakeholders across the business for a scalable,

Qualifications

• Senior solutions architecture experience on large-scale data platforms.
• Deep mastery of the GCP data tooling ecosystem: BigQuery, DBT, and pipeline tooling such as Data Stream.
• Proven ability to design, restructure, and optimise complex GCP data models with daily consumption costs in mind.
• Experience building and scaling toward self-service reporting and analytics.
• Ability to establish a comprehensive data strategy from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Own the data architecture for a high-volume online marketplace and lead a major multi-year transformation.
• Define direction for the data platform and implement immediate optimisation across the GCP estate.
• Advise on bringing the data team under technical leadership and coordinate with data scientists and analytics stakeholders.
