Job summary

NatWest Group is recruiting a Software Engineer for Google Cloud Platform in Edinburgh. You will join a feature team to build software, scripts and tools, collaborating with engineers, architects and business analysts to deliver robust, high-performance solutions.

You will design, develop, test and deploy across the full software life cycle, embracing Terraform-based infrastructure and MCP/A2A enabled LLM integrations to create scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform developing and scaling solutions.
• Experience using Terraform for GCP infrastructure.
• Understanding of VPC design, subnets, firewall rules and Cloud Load Balancing.
• Familiarity with MCP and A2A concepts and LLM integrations.
• Experience working in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Engineer software, scripts and tools within a feature team and liaise with engineers, architects and business analysts.
• Produce complex, high-quality software rapidly that adds value to the business.
• Work across full life cycle from development to maintenance or decommissioning.
• Collaborate to optimize software engineering capability and design, test, deploy solutions.
