Overview

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable, and innovative cloud solutions. This role involves leading technical design, architecture, and delivery of Google Cloud-based platforms across enterprise environments. You'll play a key part in shaping cloud strategy, guiding implementation, and ensuring that solutions meet both technical and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of Google Cloud solutions for enterprise-scale programmes.
  • Define and document cloud architectures, reference models, and design standards.
  • Deploy and operate secure cloud environments leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to small delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business and security requirements.
  • Drive best practices around cloud governance, automation, and security.
Skills & Experience
  • Active SC Security Clearance
  • Professional-level Google Cloud certification required.
  • Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, App Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, etc.).
  • Strong background in cloud infrastructure architecture, networking, and security.
  • Hands‑on experience creating architecture diagrams, design specifications, and operational documentation.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD automation.
  • Scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell) for cloud automation and DevOps processes.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security principles, encryption, and access management.
  • Experience leading small technical teams and delivering successful cloud transformation projects.
Desirable
  • Experience with multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or hybrid).
  • Familiarity with site reliability engineering (SRE) and production systems operations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
