Gate Engineer

Location : North-West - Crewe, Carlisle, Preston, Blackburn

Hours : Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

Salary : £40,000 + Van & Fuel Card

A great opportunity has arisen for a Gate Engineer to join a growing facilities and engineering team. This role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of automatic gate and barrier systems within a busy utilities environment, along with supporting general mechanical and electrical building services maintenance.

The Role
  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on automatic gates, sliding gates, security barriers, rapid roller shutters, and associated M&E systems.
  • Respond to callouts, urgent repairs, and planned works as required.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime and ensure operational continuity.
  • Install mechanical and electrical equipment as part of upgrade or replacement works.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance logs.
  • Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and client contacts to deliver a high-quality service.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
