Job summary

JLD Recruit Ltd seeks an Automated Gate Engineer to service and repair automated entry systems mainly at domestic premises within a one hour radius of Royston. This field-based role is home-based, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

You will fault-find and repair gates, barriers, intercoms and GSM units, with occasional light groundwork when fitting posts. No weekends or call outs; work is issued via a mobile app.

Qualifications

• Must have experience repairing and fault finding automated gates, barriers, intercoms and GSM units
• Experience with retrofits of replacement motors and parts
• Service background
• Looking for a full time permanent role offering excellent work life balance
• Knowledge of gate safety (DHF qualification preferred)

Automated Gate Engineer

Royston, Hertfordshire, SG8 0NZ (1 hour radius)

£38,000 to £42,000base salary, plus:

40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. No weekends or bank holidays.

The Gate Automation Engineer Role

A field based role working from home, repairing and servicing automated entry systems primarily at domestic premises within a one hour radius of Royston. Some commercial and school work is also involved. You will carry out fault finding and repairs on automated gates. Work is issued through a mobile app and you will only need to visit the company site for spare parts once or twice a week.

There can occasionally be some groundworks when fitting new posts, ground loops and similar.
