Job summary

Infosys is hiring for an Engineering Lead in Materials Application Engineering for Gas Turbine Components, based in the United Kingdom with Derby or Bristol as possible locations. You will lead material strategy across engine programmes, collaborating with design, manufacturing and service teams to optimize materials choice and integrity.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with turbomachinery materials and gas turbines.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials, coatings, and their functions.
• Experience with NDT methods and aviation industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and expert materials advice across the Engine programmes for design, development, manufacturing and in-service activities.
• Support design to select right materials & processes and identify the corresponding specifications & standards for NPI, Fleet and Mods.
• Approve component and design definitions to ensure finished parts meet safety and quality standards.
• Support manufacturing supply chain for production non-conformance management through concessions and deviation permits.
• Write component approval packages and support alternate materials and processes applications.
