Job summary

Avantor is seeking a hands-on Gas Service Technician to support the safe operation of gas storage and distribution facilities in Cambridge. The role is a fixed-term contract with training provided to develop expertise in gas operations.

You will work with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to perform inspections, troubleshooting and routine maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety procedures and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working with gas systems, utilities, maintenance or similar technical environments.
• Basic understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of gas storage and distribution systems.
• Carry out routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of gas equipment.
