Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a Gas Supervisor in Milton Keynes to oversee planned heating installation and replacement programmes across domestic and commercial properties. You will manage gas installers, subcontractors, and in-house teams, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to specification.

You will mentor operatives and apprentices, conduct gas safety audits and coordinate labour, materials, and scaffolding while liaising with clients and reporting risks.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on Decent Homes contracts or large planned heating installation programmes.
  • Knowledge of gas safety regulations, current standards and industry best practice.
  • Experience working within social housing environments.
  • Experience supervising operatives and subcontractors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Positive and proactive approach to work.
  • Knowledge of local authority maintenance contracts, measured term contracts and schedules of rates.
  • Experience working in partnership with local authority clients.
  • Good working knowledge of computerised systems.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to use initiative.
  • Flexible approach to working hours where required.
  • Commitment to personal development and training.
  • Full UK manual driving licence essential.

Annual salary: up to £46,412.00

Gas Supervisor

Location: Milton Keynes

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 42.5 hours per week

Salary: £46,412 per annum

In this role, you will oversee planned heating replacement programmes, manage subcontractors and in-house delivery teams, liaise with clients and ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification. You will also be responsible for gas and health & safety audits, mentoring operatives and apprentices, managing risks and coordinating labour, materials and scaffolding requirements.
