World Leading Energy Company has an exciting opportunity for a Gas Shift Trading Operator to join the Gas Operations Shift Team, which is part of the European Gas & Power operations organization. The Gas Shift Trading Operator is part of a 24-hour shift team responsible for the operational management of Energy Europe & Environmental gas activities. This role is initially for a 12-month contract with a view to transitioning to a permanent position.

The Role:

• Ensure compliance with contractual and shipper license obligations, working in line with regulatory and policy requirements.
• Responsible for the accurate nomination and scheduling of equity supplies, trading hubs, storages, interconnectors, and pipeline transportation.
• Optimize the portfolio both financially and physically.
• Monitor gas markets, gas flow data, and portfolio balances.
• Minimize imbalances.
• Trade to optimize the portfolio using asset and market spreads across Europe.

Dimensions:

The shift comprises eight individuals working a 24/7 pattern, transporting and selling 130 Bcm annually across 13 European countries, with approximately 2,000 trades scheduled daily involving around 200 counterparties. The role requires working outside normal office hours, including weekends and overnight shifts. The Commercial Gas Operations Shift Operator will often work alone during out-of-hours shifts and must be comfortable working without supervision.
