Job summary

Custom Heat & Cool is recruiting Gas Heating Engineers for the Midlands region. The role focuses on service and repair with year-round work, supported by our planning team that fills the diary so you don’t chase jobs.

You’ll service boilers, handle breakdowns, source parts, and document certificates on-site. Training is ongoing, with opportunities to expand into renewables after 12 months, and a family-run culture since 1980.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registered with ACS: CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT and HTR1
• NVQ Level 2 or above in plumbing and heating, or an equivalent gas apprenticeship
• Full UK driving licence
• Post-qualification experience in boiler servicing and breakdown repair
• Ability to fault-find methodically and work to safety standards

Responsibilities

• Boiler and heating system servicing, including annual services for Care Plan customers
• Breakdowns and fault-finding across a wide range of makes, with Worcester Bosch common
• Sourcing and fitting parts and getting the system working before you leave
• Explain in plain terms what was wrong and what you did, and suggest upgrades
• Complete certificates and job records on tablet on the same day
