A well established Heating contractor is looking for a self-employed Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer in Portsmouth. The role involves performing annual gas safety checks and breakdown work on domestic appliances. Competitive pay of £240 per day with opportunities for out-of-hours work. Applicants should have relevant experience and qualifications, including Gas Safe Registration.

Qualifications

  • Experience servicing, repair, fault finding on domestic boilers.
  • Hold ACS qualifications for cookers and fires.
  • Must have Gas Safe Registration.
  • Possess £2m Public Liability Insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out annual landlord gas safety checks (CP12s).
  • Perform breakdown work on domestic gas boilers and appliances.
  • Attend pre-booked appointments via PDA.

Job Description

Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a well established Heating contractor operating within the Local Authority sector.

We require a self‑employed Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to carry out annual landlord gas safety checks and breakdown work covering contracts in PO / GU with OOH work available if desired and paid on a guaranteed day rate.

£240 DAY RATE WORK Plus OOH
Work Type
  • Annual landlord gas safety checks (CP12s) and breakdown work on domestic gas boilers and appliances.
  • All pre-booked appointments via PDA.
  • Working days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday – 3 days per week.
  • Contract Length: Ongoing.
  • Payment Terms: Weekly, one week in hand.
